Carson City sheriff's bookings: Vehicle rollover results in DUI arrest
A 32-year-old woman was arrested early Wednesday for suspected misdemeanor DUI after officers investigated a vehicle rollover, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
At 2:06 a.m. CCSO deputies were dispatched to Airport Road and Highway 50 for a single vehicle accident. Deputies arrived and found a black Honda rolled on its side. The female driver was still in the vehicle.
A deputy checked on her welfare to ensure she didn't have injuries. She was slow to respond to questions and appeared as if she was intoxicated and was confused about what was going on, the report states. Fire Department personnel arrived and extracted the woman from the vehicle.
Once she was out of the vehicle a deputy could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from her person. She was also unstable on her feet. She was checked out by medics. She chose to refuse medical treatment.
Dispatch advised there was video of the crash, which showed the driver traveling the wrong way on Airport Road and overcorrected. When she overcorrected the vehicle hit the concrete median and her car flipped, the report states.
She was taken to the hospital for medical clearance. She was slightly uncooperative and argumentative. A deputy applied for and was granted a seizure order for a blood sample. Bail: $1,137.

According to the booking report a deputy observed a pickup traveling southbound on South Carson Street at a high rate of speed. The area is a 25 mph zone. The truck passed another motorist in the number one travel lane and once passed, abruptly changed lanes from number two to number one, directly in front of the motorist, the report states. A deputy estimated the pickup was traveling a speed to between 35 mph and 45 mph.
A sergeant and deputy were able to catch up to the truck and conducted a traffic stop in the 3200 block of South Carson Street. They made contact with the sole occupant, who was advised of the reason for the stop and was asked for appropriate documents.
The woman advised she did not have insurance for the truck, nor vehicle registration. Dispatch advised her Colorado driver's license is suspended and the vehicle registration expired in August 2020, the report states.
A deputy attempted to confirm with the woman that she did not have vehicle insurance, however she responded by saying if she was issued a citation, she would be signing it under duress. She became argumentative and uncooperative when trying to obtain pertinent information to determine if a citation for criminal charges was appropriate, the report states.
Due to the fact the woman did not appear to be live in Nevada and did not provide an address, stating she was driving to California, she was arrested on applicable criminal charges. She was also issued a civil citation for speeding and conducting an unsafe lane change. Bail: $1,446.
