Sutro Tunnel Restoration Project opens first 50 feet to community with celebration
Today was a day we aimed to make Adolph Sutro, our supporters, neighbors, friends, and community proud.
Thanks to the support of Nevada Builders Alliance, Nevada Builders Foundation, Carson Chandler, The Fox Brewery & Pub, 1st & 10 Restaurant Sports Bar & Grill, Virginia City Outlaws, The VC Silent Riders, Frey Ranch Distillery, and all of our incredible, dedicated volunteers—we opened our gates to the community today.
Visitors got to experience the first 50 feet of the tunnel, recently rebuilt using Tahoe lumber to Adolph Sutro’s original design.
They got to taste the new Sutro Tunnel Karma Sutro Pale Ale from the The Fox Brewery.
And most importantly we all got to collectively share in experiencing something deemed “impossible” for decades.
Thank you for daring to dream with us, and for creating the “impossible” by our sides. It wouldn’t be the same without y’all.
See you at the next 50 feet!
