If anyone is looking for a way to be of service while getting a nice workout in the sun I have an opportunity for you! We will be cleaning up the Washoe City Cemetery this Sunday, March 29th starting at 8am. A cleanup like this hasn’t happened since 2019, so the property has been overtaken by weeds and heavy brush growth, and right now we only have 16 confirmed volunteers. Whether you’re here all day or for just a few hours, any help is good help! Hope to see some familiar and new faces!
Bring:
• Gloves
• Rakes
• Clippers / loppers
• Wheelbarrow (if you have one)
• Water bottle
• Sturdy shoes & comfy clothes
• Trash bags (small debris) or trash
What We’ll Do:
• Clear surface overgrowth & sagebrush
• Pick up trash & debris
Important:
• No digging or disturbing graves
• Be respectful of headstones
• Watch your footing
• No cleaning headstones
Extra Help Appreciated:
• Dump trailers or tarps for brush
• Donations of water/snacks/supplies
