November 15th 2025 University Women’s Club Speaker Greg Felton, Topic: Tahoe Lifeboat Foundation

When the former Tahoe-Douglas Fireboat sank 2.5 years ago, Greg and others had a vision to restore it and put it into service for any government or non-profit agency in the Tahoe Basin needing a boat (e.g. as a reserve fireboat, a platform for picking up trash and invasive weeds and algae, a fill-in when a law enforcement boat is down for maintenance or there’s a big event like July 4th, etc.). They have now realized this vision! Come hear the story and learn about the service and benefits of their efforts.

The University Woman’s Club has been active in Carson Valley since 1928. Members gather locally each month (October through May) on Saturday afternoons for a social and informal meeting. Our membership is open to women who wish to support girls graduating from local high schools and going to schools of advanced learning in their field of interest. Come as a guest to learn more about us.
