Ice Cream, Ragtime & History: Join CCHS for a Summer Tradition

The Carson City Historical Society invites the community to its annual Ice Cream Social on Saturday, August 8, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the historic Foreman-Roberts House Museum, 1207 North Carson Street in Carson City.
Bring the whole family and enjoy a relaxing summer afternoon filled with history, music, and old-fashioned fun. Guests will enjoy live music by the Carson Street Ragtime Band, delicious ice cream, and free tours of the beautifully restored Foreman-Roberts House Museum.
At 2:30 p.m., the winners of the Carson City Historical Society’s America250 Essay Contest will be announced, and the winning students will read their essays celebrating America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
A suggested donation of $5 per person helps support the Carson City Historical Society’s mission to preserve and share Carson City’s rich history.
Whether you’re a longtime supporter or visiting the museum for the first time, this is a wonderful opportunity to spend an afternoon with family and friends while experiencing one of Carson City’s historic treasures.
