Dog Tales Gala at The Atlantis
October 11 @ 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Canine Rehabilitation Center and Cat Sanctuary (CRCCS) is presenting its annual Dog Tales celebration and fundraiser on October 11, 2025, at the Atlantis Casino Resort Grand Ballroom in Reno.
Dog Tales is a fun-filled evening filled with heartwarming stories, sharing the journey of “unadoptable” shelter dogs who have overcome their pasts and found loving homes. CRCCS is a respected recovery and rehabilitation center as well as a behavior and education center, helping overlooked dogs learn how to be dogs again. Their animal shelter and behavior training divisions provide a variety of programs and services for the community, aimed at reducing euthanasia rates, reducing returns to shelters, educating people, and keeping dogs in homes. CRCCS routinely houses between 50 and 60 dogs, all of which have found themselves out of options and time.
The event begins at 5:30 with a no-host bar and social. A sit-down dinner will be served at 6:30. The event features both an online silent auction and a live auction, with the tales interspersed to create a lively event that is sure to leave a smile on the faces of attendees. Semi-formal attire is requested for this, CRCCS’s primary annual fundraising event.
Canine Rehabilitation Center and Cat Sanctuary is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit that relies heavily on the community it serves to help them continue their work. Located at the site of the historic Cattlemen’s Restaurant in New Washoe City, the facility has been repurposed into a shelter that houses resident dogs, as well as training facilities for animals currently residing in households. Founder Kristen Ivey is working to expand and improve the property on their 5.2-acre land. The goal is to create a fully built-out campus, including a cat cottage, a behavior center, an outdoor amphitheater, and more, allowing CRCCS to expand services and save more lives. Plans to upgrade the existing building are also underway to ensure a safer, nurturing environment where the dogs can truly thrive.
Dog lovers will thoroughly enjoy this event; tickets are limited. Tickets can be purchased through https://givebutter.com/c/DogTales2025or on their website at www.CRCCS.org. CRCCS is still accepting silent and live auction donations. Sponsorship opportunities are available by contacting Carol@crccs.org or calling our main line at 775-800-1906.
