Carson Chamber Singers to present “North America: A Choral Tapestry” Friday April 25th and Saturday April 26th

The Carson Chamber Singers, under the direction of Dr. Gary Schwartz, continues its 40th season with a pair of “North America: A Choral Tapestry” concerts on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, 2025. These concerts celebrate music by composers from the United States and Canada, including Andrew Balfour, William Billings, Aaron Copland, Kinley Lange, Morten Lauridsen, Stephen Paulus, and Shulamit Ran.
The April 25 concert will be at 7:00 p.m.at Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church, 3680 N. Highway 395, Carson City. The event is free; donations are welcome.
The April 26 concert will be at 4:00 p.m.at First United Methodist Church, 200 North Division St., Carson City, NV.General admission tickets to the April 26concert are $18 each. Discount tickets for seniors (age 62 plus), students, and members of the Carson City Symphony Association are $15. Youth ages 18 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available online at CCSymphony.comand at the door.
Founded in 1985 as a performing group of the Carson City Symphony Association, the Carson Chamber Singers is open to singers high-school age and above. They perform in five or more concerts each year. They have sung with the Reno Philharmonic and sing regularly with the Carson City Symphony and have performed at several venues in northern Nevada and as far west as Sacramento.
Carson City Symphony Association concerts are supported in part by public funds through grants from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, from Carson City, and by private donations.
