Carson City School District employees, including elementary and secondary education personnel, lined up to be among the first to receive Tier 2 COVID-19 vaccinations at Carson High School on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021.
The vaccines came sooner than previously expected and have been provided to educators who scheduled appointments through a link provided by Carson City Health and Human Services.
Employment verification was mandated upon arrival to the clinic. The Moderna vaccine is a two-dose series and will require a second dose 28 days after the first. Once employees have received their first dose, they will be able to schedule their second dose appointment.
