After 25 years providing breakfast and lunch options in downtown Carson City, Mom and Pop’s Diner will begin offering dinner service Thursday, Oct. 22, expanding its hours and introducing new menu items and cocktails.
The restaurant, located at 224 S. Carson St. near McFadden Plaza, first opened in 1999.
The expanded menu will include cornmeal-breaded Mississippi catfish, crab cakes and halibut patties, along with a selection of cocktails.
The restaurant has also named Heather Rest as its new general manager. Rest will oversee operations as the diner transitions to offering evening service.
Dinner will be served from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday through Monday. Breakfast and lunch hours will remain 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The expansion comes as downtown Carson City continues to see changes in its restaurant and business offerings, particularly around McFadden Plaza.
