On October 14, 2026, members of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Task Force (SOTF) contacted 57-year-old Silver Springs resident Danny Sobieralski Jr., a Tier III registered sex offender who was out of compliance with Nevada’s sex offender registration requirements.
Sobieralski had previously been determined to be out of compliance by the Nevada Sex Offender Registry after failing to complete his required annual verification in July 2026. Sobieralski subsequently failed to complete another required verification in October 2026, resulting in two separate registration violations.
Sobieralski was arrested and booked into the Lyon County Jail on two felony counts of Violation of Sex Offender Registration Requirements. His bail was set at $10,000.00.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Task Force remains committed to ensuring that convicted sex offenders residing, working, or attending school within Lyon County comply with Nevada’s registration requirements. Through proactive compliance checks, targeted enforcement operations, and information provided by the public, the Task Force works to hold noncompliant offenders accountable and enhance public safety throughout Lyon County.
