Fill a Truck Returns to Michael Hohl for Annual October Pet Food Drive
Reno Corvettes Club Show N Shine set for Oct. 3 to support Feeding Pets of the Homeless
[Carson City, Nev.] – October 1, 2026 – Michael Hohl Chevrolet GMC is once again partnering with Feeding Pets of the Homeless for its annual Fill a Truck pet food drive throughout October, inviting the Carson City community to help fill a showroom truck with pet food and supplies for pets belonging to people experiencing homelessness.
From Oct. 1-31, community members can bring pet food and supplies to Michael Hohl Chevrolet GMC, 3700 S. Carson St. Donations collected during the drive will help Feeding Pets of the Homeless provide pet food through its local network.
The monthlong campaign will include a special Show N Shine with the Reno Corvettes Club from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3. Corvette club members will bring pet food donations and put their vehicles on display for the community. Families are invited to stop by, see the Corvettes and contribute to the Fill a Truck drive.
“Each year, Michael Hohl and the Reno Corvettes Club show what can happen when a community comes together around a shared purpose,” said Genevieve Frederick, founder and president of Feeding Pets of the Homeless. “The pet food collected here stays in our community, helping people in need care for the pets who provide them with companionship, comfort and unconditional love.”
The Reno Corvettes Club has become a longtime supporter of the annual drive, helping fill the truck with tens of thousands of pounds of pet food and supplies over the years.
Donations can include canned and dry dog and cat food, treats, and open bags of pet food that have been securely taped closed. New and gently used pet supplies, including collars, leashes, bowls, toys, beds and crates, are also accepted.
Community members who cannot attend the Show N Shine can drop off donations at Michael Hohl Chevrolet GMC throughout October.
Monetary donations supporting Feeding Pets of the Homeless’ programs, including pet food distribution and emergency veterinary care, can also be made at petsofthehomeless.org.
