On the morning of Thursday, September 24, 2026, detectives with the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit observed this week’s Warrant Wednesday wanted subject, Tracy Conrad Smith, at his last known residence in the 1000 block of Badger Street in Silver Springs.
As deputies arrived on scene, Smith fled the area on foot to the south and out of view. Detectives contacted four additional individuals at the property, who were detained while deputies attempted to locate Smith.
During the investigation, detectives observed property they recognized as items previously reported stolen, including a flatbed trailer, side-by-side, and tractor. Smith was not located and remains outstanding.
Based on the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and property. During the subsequent search, detectives located narcotics, drug paraphernalia, burglary tools, and the suspected stolen property. The flatbed trailer, side-by-side, and tractor were subsequently confirmed to have been reported stolen.
Three individuals contacted at the property were arrested on unrelated charges.
Tracy Conrad Smith remains wanted and is still outstanding.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Smith. Anyone who sees Smith or has information regarding his current whereabouts is asked to contact the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
Members of the public should not attempt to apprehend or detain Smith themselves.
