Senators Cycling was back in action this past weekend at Northstar Resort in Truckee, Calif. In the woman’s varsity category, senior Riley Kuhlman put an emphatic stamp on first place, crossing the finish line more than six minutes ahead of the next competitor.
Evie Huntington also had a dominant first place finish in the woman’s level 4 category, claiming first place by a little over 4 minutes.
Evie’s teammates Syrae Lenz (5th) and Mira Orvald (8th) rode strong, both finishing with top-ten rides for the Senators in the level 4 category.
For the middle school girls, Clover Sibenaller repeated a top ten performance (7th) in the level 1 girls category.
For the high school boys, Jackson Isom notched another second place ride after nearly an hour of racing in the level 4 category.
Jax Huntington raced to a solid 4th place finish in the JV boys category while teammate Fletcher Morway rounded out the top 10 for the JV boys.
The community is invited to cheer on the Senators at this weekend’s Capital City Crusher.
Racing starts at 9 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 20, on the trails above Western Nevada College. Don’t forget your cowbells!
