On August 29, 2026, at approximately 4:42 p.m., the Nevada Highway Patrol, a division of the Nevada State Police, responded to a motorcycle vs sedan crash on US-50 at Soda Lake Road in Fallon, Nev.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling westbound on US-50 West, approaching the intersection with Soda Lake Road.
A Ford Focus was southbound on Soda Lake Road turning left onto US-50 eastbound. A collision occurred and the front of the Kawasaki struck the left rear of the Ford.
Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital. The motorcyclist, Francisco Alberto Mills, a 25-year-old male from Fallon, Nev., succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Major Incident Reconstruction Team.
