Some cats are ordinary. Some are even extraordinary. And then, there’s Olaf.
This unique-looking, incredibly sweet senior is searching for a new home, a loving family, and—most importantly—a lap to call his own.
Olaf is one of nine cats who found themselves without a home after their owner passed away. With nowhere else to go, they all came to Catmandu, where Olaf is now waiting for the next chapter of his life to begin.
A medium-haired white gentleman with distinctive black patches, Olaf has a look all his own. In fact, we think he looks a little like a kid whose mom cut his bangs just a bit too short! His small, unusual ears only add to his special charm.
But it’s Olaf’s personality that will really steal your heart. He can be a little slow to warm up to strangers, but once he decides you’re one of his people, watch out! Olaf is an affectionate love bug and lap cat extraordinaire. He’s sweet, funny, and the kind of furry friend who will happily settle in beside you and keep you company.
Olaf is also eligible for Catmandu’s Senior 2 Senior Foster Program, which matches people age 55+ with cats age 10+. Through this program, Catmandu provides veterinary assistance with the help of Dr. Sean at All Creatures Veterinary Services and helps with the cost of veterinary and medical care these senior cats may need.
Olaf has a clean bill of health, with the exception of needing a dental cleaning. Catmandu is already scheduling—and will be paying for—his dental care. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccines.
Having spent his whole life with other cats, Olaf does well with friendly feline companions. He has also previously lived with a small dog.

Catmandu is a non-profit, cage-free cat sanctuary and adoption center located at 1829 Brown Street, Carson City. We are open for adoptions Friday through Sunday from 11 AM–4 PM. Please arrive no later than 3 PM so you’ll have plenty of time to relax, meet the cats, and get to know your potential new family member before adoptions close.
