Bruce Michael Glover passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, after a brief stay in the hospital. He was 79 years old.
Bruce was born on January 3, 1947, in Reno, Nevada to Nelson Glover and Margaret “Peggy” Harney Glover. A proud fourth-generation Nevadan, he spent his entire life in Carson City, the community he loved and proudly called home.
Bruce attended the University of Nevada, Reno for a short time before beginning a long and dedicated career with the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to serving the people of Nevada.
Outside of work, Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, and golf. No matter where life took him, he formed meaningful relationships along the way. In his later years, he often spoke of the many friendships he was fortunate to have throughout his life. Many of these friendships were formed through his work, coaching Little League baseball, hunting trips, and lifelong connections with his high school classmates. These relationships were a great source of pride and joy to him.
Bruce is survived by his daughter, Kelly Woodward (Chris); sons, John Glover (Kristi) and Murph Glover (Jessica); sisters-in-law, Harle Glover, Susie Kastens (Steve), and Sheila Banister; grandchildren, Alyssa Woodward, Gracie Woodward (John), Emma Glover, Ty Glover, Abigail Glover, and Anna Glover; nephew, Dan Kastens (Nicole); and nieces, Cassie Price (Phil) and Ali Banister (Brian).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Glover; his parents, Nelson and Peggy Glover; his brother, Alan Glover; and his grandson, Jordan Woodward.
