The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team (SET), working with the Department of Homeland Security (HSI), arrested 24-year-old Jeromy Simon Thursday in Carson City for possessing illegal firearm parts, specifically Glock switches.
These attachments can convert a semi-automatic Glock pistol into a fully automatic firearm. Simon has prior arrests in Carson City related to firearms and obstructing or resisting law enforcement officers.
Due to Simon’s criminal history and the criminal investigation involving firearms, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office SWAT team successfully arrested Simon near the 400 block of Pratt Street.
Simon faces two counts of unlawful possession of semiautomatic firearms and devices that modify semiautomatic weapons, and two counts of violating probation. This investigation is ongoing, and additional criminal charges will be filed.
