This morning, Governor Joe Lombardo announced a two-hour delay for the opening of state government offices in Carson City, Churchill, Douglas, Lyon, Mineral, Storey, and Washoe counties due to ongoing severe weather.
The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) are reporting icy roads and potentially dangerous driving conditions across Northwestern Nevada. As a result, state government offices in these areas will open at 10:00 AM today, Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026.
Governor Lombardo urges all Nevadans to drive cautiously while adverse weather persists in the region. Check NVRoads.com for the latest traffic updates and road conditions.
