Flannel & Frost: Night Off the Streets Plans Fundraiser on January 23rd
January 23 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Night Off the Streets (NOTS) invites the community to join its fourth annual Flannel and Frost Fundraiser on Friday, January 23, at the Governor’s Mansion. Doors open at 5 pm.
Tickets can be purchased for $85.00 by calling 775-720-2472 or 775-600-2215. The ticket cost includes a prime rib meal and dessert catered by Coco N Moes. The bar is hosted by the Carson City Elks Lodge #2177. Live music will be performed by Catfish Carl.
Participants are encouraged to wear their best flannel fashions and to participate in raffles and an auction.
The funds raised during the event will help support the Night Off the Streets warming center and will add to funds designated for obtaining a permanent warming center. Now, the warming center is hosted by one Carson City church each month during the coldest months, November through March.
“Night Off the Streets would not exist without the community’s support,” says Jodi Miller, NOTS manager. More than 100 people volunteer during the Winter season at the shelter. People also donate food and clothing as well as their money.
“Every penny raised helps us get closer to our goal of opening a year-round center for our unhoused neighbors,” says Deacon Craig LaGier, founder and director of NOTS.
The NOTS warming center was founded eight years ago after four homeless people died of hypothermia while sleeping outdoors.
