Kellen Kranjcec.

The following is from the Dayton High School Booster Club social media page regarding a fundraiser for DHS student Kellen Kranjcec, who recently suffered a medical emergency during basketball practice. The fundraiser has generated more than $15,500 in donations. See the GoFundMe page here.

“Our hearts are with you Kellen Kranjcec. Kellen Kranjcec is a student at Dayton High School who recently collapsed and had to be resuscitated while practicing basketball at Dayton High School. He was Careflighted to the hospital, and he is in good condition now, but will be flown to Stanford for further care. No family or community can ever prepare for something like this.

Kellen is a valued and cherished part of the Dayton High School family, and his parents are both dedicated members of the Lyon County School District. They have given so much to our students and our community. We stand strong with them and Kellen. In moments like this, we are reminded of the strength, compassion, and unity that defines Dayton.

As Kellen and his family navigate the days ahead, we stand beside them with hope, love, and unwavering support. If you would like to help, please consider donating or posting your well wishes below.
