Carson High School’s chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and marketing students launched a new website for its student-produced business magazine, “Entrepreneurs in Action.” The new website brings the magazine’s stories to life online, highlighting the innovation, creativity and collaboration of entrepreneurs throughout the Carson City community.
The website also highlights a powerful, student-led collaboration at Carson High School. The original Entrepreneurs in Action print magazine was created by students in the school’s Business and Marketing classes. To build on that success and expand its reach, Web Design and Development students took the initiative to digitize the magazine and bring it online.
This past semester, students designed and built the website from the ground up, working under the guidance and final approval of Web Design and Development Teacher Ms. Danylle Miller and Business and Marketing teacher Mr. Cody Downing. The project also received critical technical support from Cyber Security teacher Mr. Joshua Barham, who is hosting the website on his server.
This real-world learning experience provided students with the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge, develop professional portfolios and strengthen skills in collaboration, project management and community engagement.

The website also preserves all of the engaging articles and features from the print publication while expanding accessibility for readers. Community members are encouraged to explore the site, enjoy the inspiring stories and share the launch with friends and family to celebrate Carson City’s entrepreneurial spirit.
At the heart of the Entrepreneurs in Action website is the Carson City community. The project reflects a collaborative effort among local entrepreneurs, community members and educators who contributed to the original magazine. Special thanks are extended to the website developers and administrators who transformed the publication into an accessible digital platform, ensuring the stories reach a broader audience.
The Entrepreneurs in Action project is supported by Carson High School students, teachers, administrators, school leaders, community members and local advertisers. Their collective contributions made the project possible and will help sustain it well into the future.
Following the successful launch of the Entrepreneurs in Action website, Web Advanced Studies students are already preparing for their next major project: developing a website for the Carson High School Career Closet, a school-based enterprise designed to support students as they prepare for professional opportunities.
For more information and to explore the Entrepreneurs in Action website, community members are encouraged to visit the site at entrepreneursinaction.net and experience the stories that celebrate Carson City’s entrepreneurs.
