State troopers ask for assistance in finding fatal hit and run suspect

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, they are asking for assistance in locating a tractor/trailer that was involved in a fatal crash near Winnemucca on I-80, last seen heading towards Reno.

They say the deceased victim, another semi driver, was pulled over fixing a flat tire when he was struck and killed around 4:20 a.m. Thursday morning. The other victim, a Florida man, was flown by Care Flight to Renown Medical Center and remains in critical condition.

Troopers describe the semi as a white tractor with a box trailer, which has damage to the right side of the trailer and is missing the chrome lug nut covers. It was last seen on 80 West towards Reno.
