The Brewery Arts Center’s third annual Carson City Murals & Music Festival will bring live musical performances and 16 new, colorful murals to Carson City, Nevada starting Monday, Sept. 15 through Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025. This year’s festival artists will add to the 48 murals created during the previous festivals.

Local, national and international artists will create murals in public spaces around Carson City. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet artists as they create their murals over the three three-day festival, including featured muralist Rafael Blanco from San Antonio, TX; international artists Liere Urbeltz from Spain and Priscilla Aldana G. (Prism) from Mexico; national artists Andrea Holmes from McKinney, TX and Bill Louis from Eagle Mountain, UT; as well as 11 Nevada based muralists. A complete list of participating artists, their murals, and the locations will be available online.

The murals from the 2023 and 2024 festivals serve as a permanent outdoor art gallery. The murals painted during the 2025 festival will expand Carson City’s accessible public art for all to enjoy.

“The Brewery Arts Center campus is privileged to offer hundreds of year-round experiences, but our commitment to the community extends far beyond the walls,” said Spike McGuire, executive director of the Brewery Arts Center. “BAC believes wholeheartedly in the benefits to both economics and mental health that can be brought by barrier-free access to public art. From Ely to Elko and Reno to Fernely, the transformative power of mural culture has become a point of pride in Nevada’s artistic heritage and we are happy to uphold the capital city’s duty to reflect that.”

Nightly musical performances will also be available across town, culminating in full day of music on the Brewery Arts Center’s outdoor stage from 12-6pm on Saturday September 20th with Jenni & Jesse (From Dead Winter Carpenters), The Turkey Buzzards, Tyler Stafford, Lily Baran Trio, Greg Gilmore, and Rachael McElhiney.

“We look forward to continuing to expand Carson City’s public displays of artistry and creativity through the annual Murals & Music Festival,” said Eric Brooks, arts and culture program manager for Visit Carson City. “We’re thrilled to invite visitors from across the region to meet and engage with the artists and experience the city as an arts and culture destination.”

Brewery Arts Center and Visit Carson City are partnering to produce the festival as a public art campaign that aligns with the city’s 2022-26 Arts and Culture Strategic Plan. Generously supported by Visit Carson City, Nevada Arts Council, community organizations, local businesses and private donations, the festival is free and open to visitors of all ages.
