Carson City, Nev. (Sept. 3, 2025) – The Carson High School Football team received professional treatment this past weekend when they trained at the Las Vegas Raiders’ Intermountain Health Performance Center.

The gridiron athletes experienced a day of professional-level preparation, fitness and team-building at the Raiders’ state-of-the-art facility in Henderson, Nev.

They not only had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to run drills and a full practice inside the state-of-the-art indoor practice facility, but there were several players from the Las Vegas Raiders and Cheer teams who attended their showcase game Friday night against Canyon Springs High School, where the Senators won 12-7.

The visit was coordinated by the Raiders’ manager of football development and documented by the Raiders’ professional photographer, Jeffery Bennett.

“This was an unforgettable experience for our players,” said Steve Nelms, head coach of the Carson High School Senators. “Being able to walk into an NFL facility and train where professional athletes prepare was inspiring. It gave our team a firsthand look at the commitment, discipline and resources required at the highest level of the game.”

The event wasn’t just about football, Nelms continued. It was about inspiring student-athletes to dream big, set goals and recognize the importance of hard work on and off the field. Many of the players walked away motivated to bring the same momentum into their upcoming season.

The high school student-athletes were also offered official Raider-branded memorabilia as tokens of their visit. And the chance to practice in such a top-notch environment, under the banners of one of the NFL’s most storied franchises, is an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives.
