Dogs and their humans occupied the Cafe at Adele’s veranda Saturday, part of a day-long fundraiser for Dog Town Canine Rescue in downtown Carson City.

One quarter of the proceeds raised from meals purchased at Adele’s will be donated to Dog Town Rescue, an organization that strives to help homeless canines find loving, forever homes.

An early event was held from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Fundraising picks up again from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Well-mannered, leashed dogs are welcome to dine with their humans on the veranda, but guests do not have to bring their dogs to participate.

Visit Dog Town Canine Rescue online here or find it on Facebook here for more information about the organization.
