COPE is more than an event — it’s a transformative journey into the lives of families struggling to make ends meet. Through this immersive simulation, participants step into the roles of individuals facing the daily challenges of poverty.
This experience is ideal for community-minded organizations and individuals who serve the public and want to deepen their understanding of poverty. Participants will leave with:
- Empathy and Insight: Gain a profound appreciation of the barriers and decisions faced by individuals and families experiencing poverty.
- Practical Understanding: Develop actionable strategies to work more effectively with those in need.
- Community Impact: Discover how you can play a role in creating solutions that truly make a difference.
“COPE reveals the overwhelming complexities and emotional toll of poverty in ways no report or statistic ever could. I am so excited to share this education with others so we can better collaborate and effectively serve our communities in Northern Nevada” said Denise Mack, Director of Capital City Circles.
Participants can expect to feel challenged, inspired, and empowered to take actionable steps toward addressing the root causes of poverty. By fostering empathy and encouraging meaningful dialogue, COPE paves the way for stronger, more resilient communities.
Space is limited, so participants are encouraged to register promptly through this link: FISH of Northern Nevada & Capital City Circles [COPE: General Admission]
