A structure fire destroyed a Comstock Road home in Dayton on Friday afternoon, according to Central Lyon County Fire District dispatch.
The fire broke out just before 4 p.m. One person reportedly suffered minor injuries. Additional fire agencies were called to respond as firefighters had feared the rapid spread of the fire would move into vegetation. As of 5:30 p.m. firefighters from Lyon County and surrounding agencies continued working on the fire, with much of the flames having been already doused. Central Lyon County reported the fire knocked down at around 5:35 p.m.
Dayton Vally Road and Comstock Road were closed to allow responders access into fighting the blaze.
