The Helping One Woman Carson City Chapter’s monthly meeting tonight is for Victoria Morrison and her family whose 10-year-old son is battling leukemia. This event is Thursday, Jan. 19 at Thick Slice Pizza, 2010 E William Street in Carson City.
This month during our meeting we are honoring Victoria Morrison. Her 10-year-old son has leukemia and is undergoing surgery to remove the tumor on Friday and then a bone marrow transplant on Jan. 28. Our intent is to shower her with love and support and raise some extra money to help her through these rough times.
Dinner consists of a large slice of pizza, salad bar and a drink for $7. Each attendee gifts $10 to the fundraiser to help Victoria and her son. As well as all money we collect from tickets for a prize drawing that we will hold during the dinner.
