UPDATE 7PM: One person has been flown to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno and one has been taken by ground ambulance following a four-vehicle crash on the I-580, Highway 50 East onramp. Two others suffered minor injuries.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. At this time the make and models of the vehicles involved is unknown. Also unknown are the conditions and identities of the two patients seriously injured.

UPDATE 6:40PM: Care Flight will land north of the crash at the I-580, Highway 50 East onramp. One person will be flown and another will be taken via ground ambulance.

Emergency crews were called Saturday night to a multi-vehicle crash with injuries on the I-580 freeway on the northbound Highway 50 East onramp. The crash was reported at 6:18 p.m. and involves four vehicles, according to dispatch.
The onramp is closed. Care Flight has been instructed to land near the crash scene. Motorists are advised to stay clear of the area. Earlier there had been a semi-truck that had jack-knifed in the same area.
At least two people are seriously injured. One of the patients will be flown by Care Flight and the other taken by ground ambulance. Two others suffered minor injuries and were being treated at the scene.
Carson City Fire Department, Carson City Sheriff’s Office and the Nevada Highway Patrol have responded.
