Great news! On Thursday, the Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved key actions to bring the highly anticipated Douglas County Animal Services Cat Cottage project to life. This project is fully funded by private donations, and will provide a brand new, state-of-the-art facility for our feline friends.
Thanks to overwhelming community support and private donations, the budget has been expanded from $40,000 to $140,000 to ensure the project’s success.
The Board also recognized CORE Construction and TSK Architects for their incredible contributions to this effort. CORE and TSK have graciously offered their construction and architecture services for the Cat Cottage free of charge.
The Cat Cottage is a shining example of community collaboration! A special thank you to Douglas Animal Welfare Group for its support in making this project a reality.
