Join park staff for a holiday cookie decorating event! Participants will be able to warm up next to a fire (weather permitting), drink hot chocolate, and decorate holiday cookies.
We will provide sugar cookies, icing, and other decorations while supplies last. Each participant will be able to decorate two cookies. In case of bad weather, this event will be moved inside the park’s visitor center, but there will be very limited parking and space inside.
WHAT: Cookie Decorating
WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, and Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, from 1-3 p.m.
WHERE: Meet at the Equestrian Area inside the park. Take Exit 10 from I-580 and drive north on Eastlake Blvd., approximately four miles. The park entrance is on the left. Turn right after the fee booth, pass the campground, and follow the short gravel road to the pavilion.
WHO: This event is open to the public and is hosted by Washoe Lake State Park.
COST: $5 per vehicle for Nevada residents and $10 per vehicle for non-NV residents. We can accept cash, checks, and credit cards. There is no additional fee for this program.
