Carson City Assessor Kimberly Adams has announced her bid for re-election in 2026. Adams was elected Assessor in 2023. She began her career with the Carson City Assessor’s Office in 2000 as a Property Appraiser Technician.
Through hard work and dedication, she advanced through the department, becoming Senior Deputy Assessor and later Chief Deputy Assessor in 2014.
Administering the daily assessment operations for more than 21,000 parcels, 3,500 businesses, and 3,000 manufactured homes, in addition to overseeing the processing of personal exemptions for the blind, veterans and surviving spouses.
As Assessor, I have diligently streamlined processes, preserved historical records, and maintained a high standard of customer service. My goal is to prepare and empower the next generation of the Carson City Assessor’s Office to serve Carson City with integrity, institutional knowledge, and excellence in customer service. With all the new growth in Carson City, Kimberly believes it is important to have experience in the Assessor’s Office to best serve the community.
Kimberly’s family is rooted in this community, and she vested in the future of Carson City. Kimberly is a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers and the Nevada Assessors Association. She is a Certified Property Tax Appraiser in both Real and Personal Property from the State of Nevada.
