We at Catmandu are scratching our heads and wondering why sweet sisters, Abby and Diva, have not been adopted. Both girls are friendly, affectionate, playful and enjoy pets and attention. They live in the lobby area where they can greet volunteers and visitors. Barely 6 years old, these two have been through a lot together.
Originally surrendered in April 2020, Diva arrived with a litter of 2-day-old kittens and Abby was extremely pregnant. Whisked into a foster home, Abby helped Diva raise her babies, and when Abby had her kittens, Diva returned the favor. They tag-teamed mothering until the kittens were old enough to be adopted.
In August of 2020, the sisters were adopted into a loving home where they had a great life for 4 years. Following the death of their beloved human, they were brought back to Catmandu 3 months ago.
Abby and Diva are young and healthy, beautiful short-haired tortoiseshell girls. This pair cared for each other through the good times and the difficult times, a truly bonded pair. The advantage of having a loving pair like these sisters is they can play together, entertain and care for each other and still enjoy their human time.
Both of them love to be brushed. They enjoy sitting next to their human, purring while you pet them, and will crawl under the covers to keep you warm at night this winter and always.

Spayed and up to date on their shots these sisters are ready and waiting for their turn to be adopted. Although they have lived with another cat and a small dog, they would definitely prefer to be your only animals. With a sweet affectionate pair like this who needs another furry companion? Abby and Diva would enjoy a safe enclosed patio., but are not predator savvy and must be indoor cats,
If you can give these sisters the forever home they want and need, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website at CatmanduCC.org/adoptions and plan to visit them this weekend at Catmandu, 1829 Brown Street. Potential adopters are welcome Friday through Sunday from 11am to 4 pm. Please plan to arrive no later than 3 pm so you have plenty of time to spend with the cats before adoptions close.
