Small Business Saturday has become a holiday tradition to counteract the millions of dollars given to big corporations every year on black Friday.
So this year, support your local small businesses with Small Business Saturday spent in Downtown Carson City.
The Downtown Business Association is providing free $10 gift certificates for the first 100 shoppers to head downtown.
You can grab your local bucks along with a free cookie and coffee from 11 a.m. to noon in Laxalt Plaza.
Participating businesses are as follows:
Agency 36: Located at 108 W Telegraph St, Agency 36 is a design agency specializing in digital design, interactive publications nd augmented reality. They are the creators and publishers of the Carson Quarterly.
Aunt B’s: Located at a 110 S Curry St, Aunt B’s is a vintage, antiques and collectible gift shop offering handmade items as well as vintage wares.
Brewery Arts Center/Nevada Artists Association: Located at 449 W King St, Brewery Arts Center is a nonprofit art space offering visual and performing arts, concerts, and classes, and they sport a gift shop and the Nevada Artists Association art gallery featuring local artists.
Carson Jewelry & Loan: Located at 308 N Carson St, Carson Jewelry and Loan is a jewelry store and pawn shop offering a large selection of jewelry, electronics, collectibles and more.
Comma Coffee: Located at 312 S Carson St, Comma Coffee is a colorful cafe featuring coffee and smoothies, with a full breakfast and lunch menu.
Cucina Lupo: Located at 308 N Curry St, Cucina Lupo is an Italian restaurant by Chef Mark Estee located in historic downtown Carson City, which focuses on partnering with local agricultural producers when available.
