A local tradition where runners and walkers of all ages work up a sweat ahead of the big Thanksgiving Day meal, the Carson City Turkey Trot brought hundreds to the Governor’s Mansion on Thursday in the spirit of fitness, fun and fellowship.

Hosted by St. Teresa Catholic School, the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot is an 8K, 5-mile run, a 5K, 3.1 miles run/walk, and the Gobble Wobble, a half-mile Kids Fun Run. A portion of the entry fees collected for the Turkey Trot will go to Friends in Helping Service, also known as FISH.
