The Carson High School Blue Thunder Marching Band won first place in the AA division with an overall score of 82.2 at the 45th Annual Sierra Band Crusade, northern Nevada’s Marching Band Championships, Nov. 8, in Mackay Stadium at the University of Nevada, Reno.
This is the band’s fourth title in five years and the second time it’s won back-to-back championships. It is also the seventh win for the school in the Sierra Band Crusade’s 45-year history, including 1982, 2003, 2005, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025.




During the championship competition, CHS Blue Thunder Marching Band also won caption awards in their division, including Outstanding Music, Outstanding Visual and Outstanding Percussion.
