A new Nevada Noir series has launched with the first book “St. John & The Scare Card,” by Johnathan Edward Young. Within the thriller, Carson City, Glenbrook, and Reno are featured prominently.

“St. John Kraft figured being ‘innkeeper’ of the world’s most exclusive auberge would require the more civilized skills from his old life. But when one of his employees shelters a woman on the run, St. John is dragged into an extortion scheme spreading from the wastelands of rural Nevada to the halls of Congress, with shadow armies on both sides, all gunning for him. Now if he wants to protect everyone and everything he holds dear, he’s going to need his deadlier skills.”

Fans of Jack Reacher will discover new worlds with St. John Kraft, a man of both skills and means.

Some of the author’s connection to Nevada can be found here, with his father also having been closely involved in the Harry Reid era.
