Before the football games, the big meal and the pies, why not get in a little run with a few hundred of your neighbors Thanksgiving morning? The Carson City Turkey Trot is an event the entire family will enjoy and is on its way to becoming a local tradition.

Hosted by St. Teresa Catholic School, the Turkey Trot offers an 8K, 5-mile run, a 5K, 3.1 miles run / walk, or the Gobble Wobble 1 mile Kids Fun Run. The event begins on Mountain Street in front of the Governor’s Mansion and meanders through the west side of town.

— Regular Registration: $30 by Nov. 15
— Late Registration: $35 by Nov. 23
— Same Day Registration $40
— Kids GOBBLE WOBBLE 1 MILE $15 (No price increase)

The money raised will go to the school with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Children’s Cabinet.

The event begins at 8:30 a.m., for the 8K Race, 8:35 a.m. for the 5K event and 10 a.m. for the kids.

Runners (who pre-register) receive a shirt, water bottle and small swag bag goodies
Top three finishers for male and female receive a medal.
