UPDATE 6:47 p.m.: The victim has died from her injuries at Renown.

UPDATE 6:25 p.m.: According to the sheriff, it is now known that the victim suffered multiple broken bones and internal damage and is in a serious condition at Renown.

According to Sheriff Ken Furlong, a hit and run suspect is in custody after fleeing the scene of the accident.

The motorist allegedly struck the pedestrian near Stewart and Little Lane Thursday evening.

Shortly after the motorist fled they were stopped by deputies and taken into custody.

The victim was taken by care flight and is not thought to be in critical condition.

The scene is being cleared by law enforcement as of 6 p.m.
