A driver involved in a low-speed pursuit that began in Lyon County ended Tuesday afternoon in a parking lot across from a downtown Carson City casino. The driver has been detained and authorities are investigating.
Carson City deputies were alerted that a welfare check was requested for a driver who was coming into Carson City via Highway 50. Deputies followed the driver who was going the speed limit but would not stop for law enforcement, going through red traffic lights and nearly causing accidents.
The pursuit ended at around 4 p.m. No injuries or property damage was reported. Lyon County Sheriff’s Office deputies will take custody of the woman, said Carson City Sheriff’s Sgt. Scott McDaniel.
