Carson City area casino gaming revenue fell in August by more than 2 percent over figures from August 2014, according to stats released Wednesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Statewide gaming revenue, meanwhile, decreased by 1.39 percent for the month.

Carson City area casinos, which include those in Gardnerville, Minden and all other areas of Douglas County except for Stateline, took in gaming revenue — also known as “win” — of $8,801,620, down 2.46 percent from August 2014.

Elsewhere, casinos at south shore Lake Tahoe saw gaining revenue fall 33.55 percent in August compared to a year ago, while casinos at north shore fell 15.68 percent.
