Carson City area casinos saw a 1.31 percent increase in gaming revenue for the month of August, the state’s gaming control board reports Monday.

Statewide, Nevada reported a total “gaming win” of $955,281,446 for the month, an 11.17 percent increase compared to August 2012.

Casinos in Carson City, Gardnerville and Minden took in $8,763,685 in gaming revenue for the month which led to the increase over August, 2012 winnings.

Elsewhere, the Las Vegas strip saw the largest revenue increase at 19.98 percent over August 2012 figures. North Lake Tahoe casinos saw a 9.47 percent increase, while South Shore Lake Tahoe casinos in Stateline reported a 2.69 percent decrease in gaming revenues.
