Lainey is a petite 3-year-old orange tabby with a sweet little face and a gentle spirit. Though she’s kitten-sized, she has the calm nature of an adult cat. With her soft medium-length fur and darling expression, she’s as beautiful as she is endearing. Lainey is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines—ready for her forever home.

Life hasn’t always been easy for Lainey. She came to Catmandu from a hoarding situation, and while she can be shy at first, she’s slowly discovering the joy of safety and care. Once she feels comfortable, her playful side shines—she’ll roll around in delight, chatter with her tiny meows, and happily soak up attention.

Lainey would do best as an indoor cat in a calm, patient home where she has time to adjust at her own pace. She loves basking in the sunshine on the catio (cat patio) and gets along well with other friendly cats. What she needs most is someone willing to let her blossom into the loving, loyal companion she was meant to be. If you’re looking for a companion who will reward your patience with loyalty and affection, Lainey might just be the perfect match.

Come to Catmandu this weekend to meet Lainey. We open Friday – Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1829 Brown Street. If you plan to adopt, please come early to spend time with the kitties.

Catmandu is a local cage-free non-profit cat sanctuary and rescue. At Catmandu we care for an average of 65 cats that would otherwise be roaming the streets of Carson City. As a local non-profit, we rely entirely on donations and almost always need volunteers. If you would like to volunteer and/or make a donation, please visit our website at: https://catmanducc.org. We appreciate any help we receive from the community, so we can continue to care for Carson City’s orphaned, homeless and abandoned kitties. Meow means thank you!
