The Rotary Club of Carson City recently completed its annual community project in partnership with Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space.
This year’s effort focused on improving the Community Clean-Up trailer, which was rewrapped with fresh graphics, and stocked with new supplies to better support volunteer groups using it. In addition, Rotary members planted Wisteria at the cemetery to create a natural privacy screen, enhancing the area’s beauty and tranquility.
“This project is another example of Rotary’s ongoing commitment to service and supporting the needs of our community,” said Rotary Club President’s Jeff Paul. “By working with Carson City Parks and Recreation, we are helping provide resources that benefit volunteers and improve spaces for all residents.”

About Rotary Club of Carson City
Founded in 1938, the Rotary Club of Carson City is comprised of approximately 75 local members dedicated to service above self. The club focuses on engaging the next generation through programs such as Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE), Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA), Rotary Eighth Grade Leadership (REGL), and annual high school Speech and Music Contests.
Carson City Rotary also sponsors the Interact Club at Carson High School, a student-led service club that carries out meaningful community service projects. Through Interact, students develop leadership skills, personal integrity, and a spirit of helpfulness. High school students interested in joining are encouraged to contact Ms. Riggin at Carson High School for more information.
Over the years, Carson City Rotary has supported classroom projects throughout the Carson City School District and invested in music education by helping develop the Carson School District Orchestras, Symphony Youth Strings, and the Carson High School and Middle School jazz bands and marching bands.
The club also recognizes the Student of the Week and Teacher of the month, in partnership with the Carson City School District Superintendent, and awards grant funding to outstanding local school programs.
Carson City Rotary’s major fundraiser to support all of its projects and scholarships is the Capital City Brewfest, held annually in downtown Carson City. The next Brewfest will take place on May 30, 2026, and will bring the community together for an afternoon of beer-tasting, live music, and reconnecting with friends across the region while raising funds to support local and international service projects.
