When chrome meets steam, murder follows. Three very different riding clubs roll into Virginia City this September for what should be an unforgettable weekend. All three have accepted an invitation aboard a special Harvest Moon excursion on the historic Virginia & Truckee Railroad.
It starts innocently enough: a train ride through the Nevada mountains, friendly rivalries, good-natured trash talk and three groups of riders who may have more history with one another than they’re willing to admit.
Then a passenger turns up dead.
Suddenly, the train becomes a crime scene. Every club has a motive. Every passenger has a secret. And somewhere aboard Nevada’s most historic railroad, a killer is along for the ride.
“Handlebars & Homicide” invites passengers to become part of the mystery, following clues and trying to identify the villain before the train returns to Virginia City.
Guests can enjoy appetizers and beverages during the experience, with prizes awarded for both the best — and worst — guesses.
The murder mystery will be presented Sept. 26 at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $63 per person. Trains depart from the Virginia & Truckee Railroad’s F Street Depot, 166 F Street in Virginia City, Nevada.
There are three ways to ride… but only one way to die.
