Prepare to be thrilled and captivated by the supernatural thrillers written by local author Bill Brown. He is a retired Emmy award-winning journalist with more than 40 years in the business.
As a journalist, Bill has covered everything from plane crashes, multiple homicides and avalanches to whole mountain mudslides. You name it, he’s seen it, experienced it and lived it. He is now a prolific writer of novels about ordinary people doing extraordinary things in his many supernatural thrillers set in Nevada. Don’t miss the next author event at Browsers Corner Book Store on Sept. 19 and meet local author Bill Brown.
Due to an interest in the paranormal and things we can’t explain, every year as a news anchorman Bill did a series of ghost stories for his station and the video, the EVP. The proof they found was extraordinary and is still shared on many national programs. Forty years ago he wrote his first novel, then called “The Beast.” In retirement he rewrote it and it became “Blood Mountain”, the first of his many supernatural novels.
As Bill embarked on this second career he wanted to write about the marginalized, the forgotten and the different ways the world looks at religious beliefs. The novels he will share at Browsers reflect all this with an added dose of the paranormal grounded in Nevada history and lore.
Join us for a fun author event with Bill Brown, Friday, September 19 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Browsers Corner Book Store. The store is located at 711 E. Washington Street in Carson City, directly across the street from the library parking lot. For more information contact bookstoremanager2022@gmail.com or visit https://friendscclibrary.org.
