The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the following information into the August 31 death of a juvenile who died from injuries after the dirt bike he was riding was involved in a crash on US-50 and Scenic Avenue in the Stagecoach area.
On August 31,2025, at approximately 1:10 p.m., the Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a report of a crash at the location of US50 and Scenic Avenue in Lyon County, Nevada.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a KTM Motorcycle ridden by a male juvenile, was traveling north toward US-50 at Scenic Avenue. A Plymouth Voyager occupied by a female driver and female passenger, was traveling eastbound on US-50 west of Scenic Avenue in the left travel lane.
The KTM Motorcycle entered US-50 from Scenic Avenue failing to yield to the oncoming Plymouth Voyager. The Plymouth Voyager struck the left side of the KTM Motorcycle. The male juvenile rider was ejected from the motorcycle.
The male juvenile was declared dead on scene by medical personnel. The occupants of the Plymouth Voyager remained on scene and are cooperating with investigators. The Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating this crash.
