Carson City Fire Department responded Monday morning to a fire that was confined to the deck of a home in the 1300 block of Mountain Park Drive.
Called into dispatch at 4:58 a.m., the 10 foot by 10 foot fire did not extend into the home, said CCFD Capt. Chris Boyer. The residents had been barbecuing on the deck the night previously. No one was injured.
Firefighters remained on scene for around an hour to make sure it was fully extinguished, said Boyer. A fire investigator also responded.
