On Friday morning, Restoring the Lake Depths Foundation and the Tahoe Fund held the first-ever deep dive live stream journeying to the bottom of Lake Tahoe.

A custom-made Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) traveled to a depth of 1,570 feet.

While the ROV descends, Tim Crandle, president of SeaView Systems shares more about “the cutting-edge technology that made this journey possible” alongside Sudeep Chandra, foundation professor of limnology at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe and the Tahoe Institute for Global Sustainability who unpack the secrets of why Tahoe’s famed waters are so clear.
