
Carson City area casinos saw less than a 1 percent gain in July gaming revenue while south shore Lake Tahoe casinos experienced a 25.5 percent increase compared to July 2017, according to figures released Thursday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Statewide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $996,439,793 for July 2018. This amounts to a 0.16 percent decrease compared to July 2017, when licensees reported a gaming win of $997,994,304.
Carson City area casinos, which include those in Gardnerville, Minden and all other areas of Douglas County except for the Stateline, Lake Tahoe area reported a July gaming revenue of $9,559,069, up 0.31 percent.
Casinos at south shore Lake Tahoe had gaming revenue of $29,940,267, up 25.2 percent compared to July 2017. North shore casinos saw a 2 percent increase.
